For many years Race Nights have been run very successfully as a way of generating funds for clubs, schools and charities. Now with modern DVD players, plasma screens, and video projectors, a "NIGHT AT THE RACES" is bound to become even more popular. Our digital recordings capture every detail of the latest and most exciting horse races from the UK, enhancing the impression of really being there. No messing about with film cans or video cassettes, just insert our DVD into the player and you're ready to start. The race number and optional race card is shown giving Horse names, and some "form", thus adding to the reality of the event, and making it more exciting for your Audience. We supply a Microsoft "Word" template on floppy disk, so that you can print your own race card using the on-screen Horse names with your owners names. You can of course delete our Horse names and insert your preferred Horse names.
Run in much the same way as a lottery, bets are placed in units of usually 50p or £1 on the horse that it is hoped will be first past the finishing post. Those bets that were placed on the horse that wins will share the total money taken on that race as their winnings. Naturally a deduction of up to 50% from the takings will be made for the club or charity before the payout money is shared out amongst the winners.
More ways to raise funds from your Race Night
Before any race is shown, our introduction film will explain what a Race Night is all about, and sets the scene for the event. When the introduction finishes, race one menu will show the "Race Selector" and optional race card, which can remain on-screen whilst the bets are being placed. When all the bets have been placed, a member of the audience is asked to choose which film should be run as the first race. The appropriate button is selected on the "Race Selector" and the race is shown. After the race, the menu will re-appear for the "Payout" to take place. When ready, the "next" button should be selected which will display race two.
